TIMER INSTRUCTIONS

These instructions refer to the plug in timer supplied with your lighting system. This timer is normally supplied with a plug in photocell which will turn the lights on at dusk and off at dawn. The timer is used to introduce a "time-out" period during the early hours when the lighting is not normally required. Both these devices provide local manual control over the lighting system.  The suggested daily program is detailed below:

   (PC)  9:30PM 12:00AM 6:00AM  (PC)  9:00AM
B1  on on off on off off
B2
B3
B4     on off
Where B1 is landscape lighting and B4 is security lighting. (You don't want them both on at the same time).  Your timer has a battery backup, which should be changed annually. If you need to reset your timer, follow these instructions.

  1. Slide the selector switch to "SET CLOCK"
  2. Use the arrowed paddle switch to set the clock to the correct time. Be sure to note whether it is indicates a.m. or p.m.
  3. Slide the selector switch back to NORMAL
  4. Before programming new times, you have to clear the existing ones. Slide the selector switch to REVIEW. Press 1-ON. If a time appears, press the CLEAR button to erase it. Press 1-ON again. (each address can contain two times) If a time appears, erase it with the CLEAR button. Repeat this process for all addresses you need to change.
  5. To set new times, SET THE SELECTOR SWITCH TO program. Use the paddle switch to change the clock to a time that you want something to occur. Press the button that represents that event. In the example above, you would set the time to 9:30 p.m. and then press 1-ON. Set the clock to the time of the next event and press the appropriate button for that action (e.g. 12:00, 1-OFF followed by 4-ON) Repeat this process for all event times.
  6. When all times are set, slide the selector back to NORMAL.
Your timer should now be set. If for some reason , it is still not operating to your satisfaction, please call our help line on 301•881•1564.
