The design brief for this retirement home entrance was to emphasize its location in a subtle and sophisticated manner. Moonlighting is used to provide ambient fill light across the entire scene (notice how the moon lighting catches the beautiful stone walls). Onto this canvas of light is painted the sign and flagpole features. The up-lit Sweetbay magnolias frame the scene for the viewer. The path is emphasized by carefully chosen, glare free path lights, which are spaced to coincide with the steps.
